MotionKit is a library of 111 animated React components, built with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS and Motion. It's designed and maintained by Hizmedia, a UK studio that builds custom CMS platforms, ecommerce systems, apps and websites for clients worldwide.
The details that make a site feel finished, like a button that answers the cursor, a hero that moves with intent or a price that rolls when you switch plans, take time to get right. MotionKit makes each one properly, once, so anyone building for the web can start from a component that already works, reads well and respects the people using it.
What we stand for
Code you own
Every component is one readable TypeScript file that you copy into your project. There's no package to install, no runtime to depend on and nothing that changes behind your back.
Audited, not assumed
Each component is checked against WCAG 2.2 for keyboard use, screen readers, reduced motion and colour contrast, and the result is published on its page, including where it only partly meets a criterion.
Motion with a purpose
Animation should confirm what happened, guide the eye or add a moment of delight. Every component holds still for people who prefer reduced motion, and pauses its work when it's off screen.
Built to be fast
Components animate transform and opacity, run canvases only while they're visible and measure layout on resize rather than every frame, so a polished page can still be a quick one.
How a component is made
- We build it on a real HTML element wherever one exists, so buttons are buttons and sliders are range inputs underneath.
- We tune the motion with springs and easing until it feels physical, then check it with reduced motion turned on.
- We audit keyboard use, screen readers and contrast, measuring contrast at the brightest moment rather than the average.
- We write down what we found, publish it on the component's page, and add a playground so you can tune it before you copy it.
